Mechanical Cabaret are Roi Robertson and Stephen J. Bellamy from North London. Centered around frontman Roi, with various musical cohorts along the way, until Steve joined as a permanent member 3 years ago, Mechanical Cabaret have been making records and performing live shows for 15 years.
They’ve released six albums, including 2013's new album Beyond Science And Superstition and their ‘best of’ compilation Selective Hearing, along with several singles and EPs. The band have their own label SOILED Records, and also are currently signed to Chicago based WTII Records (Wax Trax! 2) who are handling the release of their new album in North America.
They've remixed tracks for Nitzer Ebb, Komputer, Client, Mesh, Kunt and the Gang, and Helalyn Flowers, for Mute Records, Alfa Matrix and more. They’ve performed many headline shows and festivals around the UK and Europe, and supported musical legends such as Fad Gadget, Suicide, DAF, Karl Bartos (Kraftwerk), Nitzer Ebb, The Damned, Motor, Alien Sex Fiend, Frontline Assembly, Sheep On Drugs, Alec Empire, T.Raumschmiere, A Flock of Seagulls, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Angie Bowie, Toyah, Mesh, Covenant, VNV Nation, & Apoptygma Berzerk.
